IGEM Postgraduate Masters ScholarshipThe Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) is offering postgraduate Masters Scholarships worth £6,500 to those studying an Engineering Council accredited degree. This programme is delivered through the specialist Cranfield Safety and Accident Investigation Centre, operating for over 45 years to support global safety and investigation. This course is unique as it combines the knowledge and expertise of the Centre’s academic staff with the UK Civil Aviation Authority’s senior staff.

The group design project is a full time challenge to tackle a real industrial problem within a fixed 12 week timescale.

The assignment questions after each module are well-thought-out in my view, as they drive me towards a much better understanding of the module content, ensuring a high retention about the subject in my mind. The whole part-time MSc is expected to be completed in three years and includes Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, Group Project 1, 2 and the Individual Research Project module. The PgDip takes two years to complete; Modules 1, 2, 3, 4 and Group Project 1, 2 must be completed successfully. The PgCert is expected to be completed in one year, with taught modules 1 and 2 and Group Project 1 to be successfully completed. The MBA Business Administration (Aviation) is part of a brand new suite of MBAs, designed to provide leadership and management skills across the areas of Aviation, Environment, Executive and Resilience. We offer careers information, advice and guidance to all students whilst studying with us, which is extended to our alumni for three years after leaving the University.
You must be intending to complete the course in no longer than twice the length of time it would take for a full-time student. For example, if your course is available to full-time students as a one-year programme, you will be funded for a maximum of two years’ part-time study. If your course does not have a full-time option, you must complete within three years. You can apply for a tuition fee loan up to £7,000, which will be paid pro-rata for each academic year of study. The dissertation is compulsory for MSc Air Transport Management Programme and is the final element of the programme, providing an opportunity for a sustained period of independent study and research. It allows students to concentrate on topics that are of particular interest to them and it draws upon a range of different aspects of the taught programme particularly the Research Methods module (MANM347).
